Unilateral Nevoid Telangiectasia

Abstract
|
|
|
Unilateral nevoid telangiectasia is a relatively rare disease which is characterized by scattered super ficial telangietasia in unilateral dermatotnal distribution. The author experienced four-cases of unilate - nevoid telangiectasia and reviews the 32 previously reported cases in the literatures.
The result were as follows: .
1. Out of 2510 dermatologic patients for two years, four patients (0.16%) were diagnosed as unilateral nevoid telangiectasia in our dermatologic department. The author is noting our cases principally to emphasized that unilateral nevoid telangiectasia is probably a more common disorder than previously recognized.
2. The author recently seen four patients with unilateral nevoid telangiectasia which developed in conjunction with puberty (3 cases) and pregnancy (1 cases). Three cases are found in C, dermatome, the other case is found in T,, T2, T,, T4 dermatomes.
3. Considering our four cases with previous reports, there are 36 reported cases of unilateral nevoid telangiectasia. 14 cases (38.9%) with onset of lesions at puberty occured. 12 cases (33.3%) with onset of lesions during pregnancy occurred. 5 cases (13.9%) were congenital. 4 cases (11.1%) were associated with alcoholism and liver cirrhosis. Only one case (2.8%) were associated with oral contraceptives.
